Tinder Series, 2025
In 2015, newly in Los Angeles, Allister began photographing the men she met through Tinder. What began as a personal experiment became a month-long exploration of attraction, vulnerability, and the ways we present ourselves to others.
Each date became an opportunity to look beyond the curated image of a dating profile and capture the person behind it. The resulting portraits exist somewhere between documentary and intimacy, documenting fleeting connections and moments of trust between strangers.
Guise explores the tension between the digital persona and the person revealed in real life-and the camera’s ability to bridge that distance. The series has been featured by Tinder, Dazed Magazine, and Harper’s BAZAAR Brazil.
