Honeywood

Honeywood is a black and white photo series capturing a personal vision of summer as I’ve always dreamed it. Marked by youth, subtle nostalgia, and memories of suburban rebellion. Shot in and around my home in Nashville, Tennessee, the series takes its name from the place I call Honeywood: a quiet refuge with an overgrown backyard and a river just down the road.

Over time, Nashville has become home. Summers here are heavy with heat and long days that dissolve into warm, lingering nights. This project began by inviting longtime friends and new faces I met over the summer into the everyday spaces I inhabit. These images quietly reflect those moments, where time slows and the fantasy of waiting for summer days keeps you through the coldest months. Making the ordinary feel touched by something almost magical.
